ALCF Launches New Initiative to Reach Adolescent/Young Adult (AYA) Population

Posted by Gianna Nannini on January 27th, 2015 |

Although we certainly don’t think of a healthy young person as being diagnosed with lung cancer, the truth is that ANYONE CAN GET LUNG CANCER. It does not discriminate based on age, background, gender, ethnicity or lifestyle. That’s why we have created our AYA Speaker Series & Campus Conversations, a first-of-its-kind program dedicated to reaching the AYA population, ages 15-40 globally.

Through this new program and our Genomics of Young Lung Study (more on the study here), we are committed to reaching young people.  Watch a video about the study here.

CALL TO ACTION: Do you know a young person living with lung cancer? Whether the young person has the disease or has a friend or family member affected by the disease, we can help.
