Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation’s Annual The Wind Beneath My Wings Caregiver Award

Behind every lung cancer patient stands a caregiver walking hand-in-hand throughout the patient’s journey. Caregivers help give the patient what they need whether it be a shoulder to cry on or a ride to the doctor—the caregiver is there.

The caregiver is often the person behind the curtain, making sure the patient has everything he/she needs as they face the toughest fight of their life. They dedicate their time, their heart and their everything, ensuring their loved one is as comfortable as possible—both physically and mentally.

At ALCF we understand the importance of the caregiver in a patient’s journey and we want to honor these people who go above and beyond. We know how much our patients appreciate those that take care of them. Now is your opportunity to publically thank your caregiver by nominating him/her for “The Wind Beneath My Wings” award.

We want to hear your story and all the wonderful things your caregiver has done to help you in your fight against lung cancer. Honorees will be recognized on November 11 in San Francisco at our 12th Annual “Simply the Best” Gala and Dinner. The Award includes airfare to San Francisco for the winner and a guest, two tickets to the gala and a one night stay at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

Submission Requirements:
Friends of the foundation will select the person who best helps put a human face on what it means to support a friend or loved one through lung cancer. Submit via email: Gina Tallerico ([email protected])
Deadline: October 1, 2017
Maximum Word Count: 1,500

Join ALCF in recognizing and honoring the true essence of the caregiver and the significant role he/she plays in supporting our mission and cause—to take action against lung cancer and lift you up! Who is the wind beneath your wings?
